Laura Riggins, MD, FAAFP, originally from Southern Virginia, moved to the Washington DC metro area in 2013.  Dr. Riggins completed medical school at the University of Virginia and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she was chief resident during her third year.  She is currently a Family Physician with MedStar Medical Group in Fort Washington, Maryland.  Dr. Riggins has worked in a variety of settings since graduation from residency, including private practice at Hillsborough Medical Associates, academic medicine at UMDNJ, New Jersey Medical School, and hospital employed practices with Capital Health and Virginia Hospital Center.
